therapy tailored to your needs

Individual and couples counseling in Houston, TX to help you feel more grounded, connected, and clear.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, and that’s why I offer therapy tailored to your unique needs, history, and goals. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in old patterns, navigating relationship stress, or simply unsure where to begin, I’m here to help you make sense of what’s going on and move toward meaningful change.

At Halcyon Counseling & Wellness, I work with individuals and couples using a blend of evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care. Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, clarify what you want to shift, and build strategies that support lasting emotional well-being.

Below, you’ll find more information about the services I offer. If you’re not sure which path is right for you, that’s okay; our first session will help us figure that out together.

  • Individual Counseling

Individual clients will complete a 75-minute intake. Follow-up sessions will last 45-60 minutes, depending on the service.

Individual therapy is a space to slow down, get curious, and begin untangling the patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, we’ll work together to clarify what’s going on beneath the surface and build strategies that support real change.

I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused techniques to help you shift unhelpful thinking, increase emotional regulation, and reconnect with your strengths. Therapy is collaborative. Your goals guide our work, and your feedback helps shape each session.

  • Couples counseling

Couples will complete a 90-minute intake session. Follow-up sessions will last 60-90 minutes, depending on the service.

If you and your partner feel stuck in the same painful cycle—misunderstood, disconnected, or unsure how to repair—couples therapy can help you find your way back to each other. I work from an attachment-based lens, exploring how early relationships shaped your connection styles and how those patterns show up in your current dynamic.

Together, we’ll identify what’s driving the conflict, rebuild emotional safety, and create new ways of relating that feel more honest, supportive, and fulfilling. Whether you’re in crisis or simply want to strengthen your bond, this work is about helping both partners feel seen and supported.

Brainspotting Intensive Therapy Sessions

A deeper path to healing when talk therapy isn’t enough.

What Is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a body-based trauma therapy designed to access and process emotional pain stored deep in the brain and nervous system. It works by identifying specific eye positions that correlate with internal activation—allowing you to process unresolved experiences without needing to talk through every detail.

Unlike traditional therapy, brainspotting bypasses the language centers of the brain and taps into subcortical regions where trauma, self-concept, and emotional blocks often live. This modality is especially helpful for clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to move forward despite previous therapeutic work.

What to Expect

I offer extended 90-minute sessions for brainspotting to allow time for setup, activation, and integration. These sessions are slower-paced, client-led, and deeply attuned to your body’s signals. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on—your nervous system will guide us.

You may experience emotional release, insight, or a sense of internal shift during or after the session. I’ll be there to support you through the process, offering grounding tools and space to reflect.

Intensive Brainspotting Sessions

For clients seeking deeper or accelerated healing, I offer Brainspotting Intensives—extended sessions or multi-day formats designed to focus on a specific issue or emotional block. These intensives are ideal for:

  • Processing trauma that feels too overwhelming for weekly sessions

  • Addressing persistent emotional stuckness

  • Preparing for major life transitions

  • Diving deeper into identity, grief, or relational wounds

Each intensive is customized to your needs and includes pre-session planning and post-session integration support.

Is Brainspotting Right for You?

Brainspotting may be a good fit if you’ve tried talk therapy and still feel stuck, if you struggle to verbalize your pain, or if you’re ready to explore healing at a deeper level. You don’t need to have a trauma diagnosis—just a willingness to be present with what arises. Reach out today to learn more.
