How to File a Complaint

  • Complaints must be submitted using the official BHEC complaint form available on their website.

  • After receiving a complaint, BHEC reviews the information to determine whether the concern falls within its jurisdiction.

  • Texas law generally requires complaints to be signed; anonymous complaints are not accepted.

  • Filing a complaint authorizes BHEC to access your confidential records with your therapist as part of their review process.
